Founder, Quolapps
Mike has spent twenty years starting and running his own businesses, and Quolapps is what that experience taught him to build: software that does one job well, prices it fairly, and treats your files as private by default. He runs the testing behind this tool himself, real images in, real icon files measured, not repeated hearsay. When something here says the package has a file, it's because he generated it and looked.

How the testing works
Every guide on this site is written against a package that was actually generated, not against what other articles say the files should be. A source image goes through the tool, the package comes back, and each file in it is opened and measured: the byte size, the pixel dimensions, and, for the layered .ico, how many sizes it really carries. When a guide says the package has a file, it is because he made it and looked.
Results that came out plain are published as plain. A guide without a fresh measurement behind it does not ship, which is why some topics are missing rather than filled in from memory.
