If in a certain field a single dominant company is beneficiall for society, that means it is a natural monopoly, and should be served by a regulated utility. an individual blogger has very little power, while amazon has sufficient power to put a publisher out of business.
I do feel that there is an atmosphere of guilt when it comes to buying from Amazon when you don't have to, but maybe that's just me. I've just gotten the run around and BS excuses.
