If you want a subwoofer, you’ll have to purchase a set of add-on external speakers; there’s no way to add just a subwoofer. Sometimes I get a good boot but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, you just have to keep trying it until it eventually boots up. and its probably the power line to the monitor that is faulty. The only way to fix the problem is to replace that board. Gateway has lost a loyal customer. The screen went out and I could not get an external monitor working.

I have tried another power adapter so I know that is not the problem. Sort of a waste to have that LCD sitting there, useless, but nonetheless the pc is still usable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You won’t do anything today that’s much easier than setting up a Profile 4.
