Will FDISK affect D & E partitions ?? Sorry if this post was a little long, but like I said, I will never buy from Medion again. and if you can't get that file then there has to be a way to boot and re-install using a new copy of windows xp. My pc is working just fine.

If you have the "application and support cd" and the "xp cd" and any others that came with the system you don't really need the recovery partition as these contain everything
There are currently no thanks for this post. this box then closed automatically. Also these folders are not on the recovery cds supplied. The E partition retten files are for use with the system recovery disc and should NOT be deleted.

I know the retten files are not on any of these,they are only on a hdd partition. Don't have a Forum account?
