I installed windows 7 64 bit and then inserted the motherboard driver disc to get all my drivers. Install chipset first, restart, then install the LAN driver. If you install a newer version it will replace most of the system devices and likely improve compatibility. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and it says they are running fine but it no longer boots any discs I put in there3. Solved! The two drivers I'm having problems with is the Network Controller driver and an unknown device located in the PCI Bus. On my old PC this was never an issue however on my new PC if the homeplug is idle on boot the PC won't recognise there is an ethernet cable attached.
