How much should you donate? And they really should be patching this soon.     Monday, February 05, 2007 9:27 PM 0 Sign in to vote I totaly agree. Your computer boots but crashes under games. I had a radeon 9600XT and it worked like a charm. http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/ati-radeon-9600-problems.11891/

I have an AGP X1950 Pro, K8N Neo2 Platinum NF3 mother board and a brand shiny new 4600+ X2 that I'm a bit miffed is causing issues! The PCI video card work for this mobo. Am i the only person who has had this happen and does anyone know why it may have happened.

Maybe not? Friday, November 17, 2006 12:21 AM 0 Sign in to vote this worked for me; however I'd like my 2nd core to work!  anyone try switching back to ACPI x86 with Curious detail is that Asus "Recommends Vista Business" on their site. Also on their A2d/dc page Tuesday, February 06, 2007 9:26 AM 0 Sign in to vote I have an nforce3 based This issue has been seen with other AGP chipsets such as VIA and SiS but has since been resolved by chipset driver updates from these manufacturers.

Same here, higher is better. Tuesday, February 06, 2007 3:16 PM 0 Sign in to vote I agree about sending a mail to Asus. A video card performance is based on many other factors, such as the GPU chip model, the frequency of the GPU/memory, the memory bus width, etc. Yup, I know you just put those there, but check them anyway. Friday, September 15, 2006 4:59 PM 0 Sign in to vote   Please report these issues to Ati, as this has not really to do with Vista-Setup  Nor Microsoft can help According to CPU-Z utility, it has ATI Radeon 9100 IGP chipset (with ATI IXP 200 southbridge).

ATI has said to d/l drivers from the mainboard chipset manufacturer. https://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/archive/index.php/t-120917.html So I guess the AGP slot of the motherboard not working? Does it do anything? A good example of this would be someone buying a 8600GT 512MB over a 8800GT 256MB.

So you've avoided the two first mistakes, ended up buying a Geforce GTX280, are eager to play the newest games…only to realize that it doesn't fit in your case! New build trouble shooting!! By the way, Has anybody got a way to disable Fast Write on an ATI X800 Pro AGP8X card in a ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe Motherboard? Did anybody notice when you turn it down to 100mhz that it also displays the CPU mhz in quite a smaller number?

That would help me out a lot! This issue has been seen with other AGP chipsets such as VIA and SiS but has since been resolved by chipset driver updates from these manufacturers. No way to get rid of it. check over here Mar 22, 2004 #4 d3fay3 TS Rookie Topic Starter Im not that thick!

I'm actually very depressed with my pc right now, so if you could help in any way possible please get involved in replying! :dead: My card was made by Sapphire, www.sapphiretech.com And untill i can figure out how to cool down the board, this is where it will stay. I'm running an ati 9700 pro with the same problems as reported here.  In the end the only thing that I had to do was update the AGP System Device (Device

remove the motherboard from the case, and the powersupply, set it up on a hunk of plywood after wiping it down. We've already trouble tested it by taking all our parts out from the motherboard (Ram, video card etc.) and we've tested out the monitor with another computer and it works, so Use at your own risk.
