You might as well do a completely fresh build because you aren't going to find parts to use as upgrades without replacing the whole system. However, compatibility is dependent on the motherboard's VRMs being able to handle a CPU with 125W TDP, and on the replacement CPU being supported by the eMachines BIOS. You don't need a 1080 for that. Worth. Just look at your GPU/CPU usages while playing. (note that for your CPU tera wont use more then 50% total utilization..that's it maxing out your CPU). The difference in DDR3 versus DDR4 is not that much in most games except like Fallout4..for some reason plays better with 4 over 3.

There is the GTX1060, but it's not a good option. Chances are you'll need a new HSF too, since buying on the used market will get you just a bare chip (no heatsink or fan), and the one from the existing it gets pretty good fps in modern games.

It's also shorter and much easier to mount in small cases. It's powerful enough to hit 60 FPS when running games at Ultra/1440P and costs around half as much as is it's big sister the GTX1080. If you replace your CPU, you'll need to replace your motherboard.
